Nancy has worked in the field of orthopedics since 1982, both in the operating room and as a casting specialist. She worked in Seattle for ten years in this capacity before moving back to Portland, her home town. Her special interest in the foot began when she worked with the sports medicine community providing molded orthotics to runners. She continued her education with an exclusive focus on the biomechanical functions of the foot and gait cycle. Nancy's interests include educating the public on foot health and keeping people active through appropriate footwear and orthotics. a native Portlander, Nancy is active in outdoor sports, running, working out, and cycling, with a special interest in art.
