Dr. Butler is fellowship trained in sports medicine, knee and shoulder surgery, and works with a full range of orthopedic patients. In addition, he has special skills in the reconstruction of shoulders, elbows and knees using arthroscopic techniques. Dr. Butler is a member of the following societies: American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and Hughston Sports Medicine Society. He is a collegiate team physician and participates in sports medicine coverage of local, national and international sporting events. With patients, he is interested in making sure that their questions are answered fully and that the mechanics and physiology of injuries are clearly explained. Dr. Butler is married with three children and enjoys cycling, skiing and coaching soccer for recreation.
