Edward J. Lairson, M.D. M.D. Oregon Health Sciences University, 1996. Internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Cincinnati. Member of the International Spinal Injection Society. Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. As a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, Dr. Lairson evaluates and treats a variety of musculoskeletal disorders. He has expertise in spinal care including epidural steroid injections. Another focus is treating nerve disorders utilizing electromyography (EMG’s) to diagnose entrapments. Dr. Lairson emphasizes maximal functional improvement for his patients. He feels the best medical care encompasses a comprehensive and often multi-disciplinary rehabilitation approach. This rehabilitation program may include exercise, stretching, physical therapy, modalities, medication, education and procedures. Dr. Lairson is married with one son. He was raised in Portland and enjoys being with family, skiing, hiking and fishing.
