Dr. Denes has been an athlete his entire life. From playing hockey since the age of nine, to mountain bike racing, and riding his bike cross country for an American Lung Association fund raiser, he has enjoyed a variety of sports. He has completed multiple marathons with a personal record of 3:09, enjoys short footraces, and placed second in his age group in his first Olympic distance triathlon this past year. After winning a 20-mile fun run at the Bishop High Sierra Ultra marathon last year, he has set a goal to complete the 2007 Portland Marathon in under 3-hours.

A little more about Dr. Denes, following his general orthopedic surgery training at New York Medical College - St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centers in New York City, Dr. Denes completed a one-year fellowship with a combined focus on sports medicine and complex trauma in Mammoth Lakes, California.
Dr. Denes currently treats patients who suffer from a variety of orthopedic issues, ranging from athletic injuries and fractures, to arthritis and other degenerative conditions. His interests and talents include arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle; reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee, and complex fracture surgery.
As a passionate outdoor athlete himself, Dr. Denes places a priority on helping his patients get back to their active lifestyles. He believes in being accessible to his patients and in spending time to educate them about their orthopedic health and treatment options. Dr. Denes works with each of his patients to formulate an appropriate treatment plan.
Dr. Denes is married. He can be found during his free time on a bike, a trail, or a mountain, or playing ice hockey in a local league.
